Wall Street Climbs to Start Third Quarter

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Wall Street started the new quarter with a bang on Tuesday, as all three major indices saw solid gains.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished up 129.18 to finish at 16955.78.

The Nasdaq climbed 50.47 to 4458.56 to finish at another new 14-year high, while the S&P 500 jumped 13.04 to 1973.27.

Also on Tuesday, the Federal Trade Commission accused cell phone provider T-Mobile of billing customers hundreds of millions of dollars in false charges. The FTC claims T-Mobile knew its customers had not authorized the charges and knowingly made it difficult for users to determine that they were even being charged.
