JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon Reveals Throat Cancer

Photo by Mario Tama/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Jamie Dimon, the CEO and Chairman of JP Morgan informed shareholders on Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with throat cancer.

According to a message sent by Dimon addressed to “colleagues and shareholders,” the cancer was caught early and his prognosis is good. Dimon said in his message that he expects to begin radiation and chemotherapy treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital over the next eight weeks, noting that while he will have to limit travel, he expects to remain, “actively involved in our business.”

Dimon also said that the cancer had not spread beyond the original area.

He thanked his employees and shareholders for their support and praised JP Morgan’s employees for the amazing work they do day-in and day-out.”
