Kitzhaber Calls On Oregonians To Prevent Wildfires

072814.Forest.Fire.PSA (1)SALEM, OR — In the weeks to come, Governor John Kitzhaber will call on Oregonians and visitors to prevent wildfires.

“Oregon’s current climate and dry landscapes are so fragile right now that even the slightest spark could start a wildfire.  I encourage Oregonians headed to the outdoors to help keep fire safety in mind.  This is a team effort.  Together, we can all keep Oregon green.”

The Governor launched a PSA campaign over the weekend, asking Oregonians to reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires.  That includes wise use of campfires, warming fire and cigarettes.
