Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for J/P Haitian Relief Organization(NEW YORK) — Although Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow announced earlier this year that they were splitting after 10 years of marriage, the couple reportedly just can’t stop hanging out with each other.
According to People magazine, the “estranged” couple was spotted together in New York’s East Hampton on Monday night to attend a screening of Hector And The Search For Happiness. The two were joined by Paltrow’s mother, actress Blythe Danner, and family friend Simon Pegg, who starred in the film and is also godfather to Martin and Paltrow’s daughter Apple.
“They seemed so comfortable with each other,” said a person at the screening. “It was like they were still married.”
“I don’t know what’s going on with them,” another person at the screening said, “but they seem really happy.”
This isn’t the first time the two have been spotted having a good time together. The Coldplay frontman and Paltrow were reportedly seen being “lovey-dovey and playful” at Robert Downey Jr.’s 49th birthday party in April.
In June, they were spotted having a friendly meal with their children at a restaurant on the Malibu Pier in California. Not to mention, an E! News source claims the two are still living together in their Brentwood, California home.
Martin and Paltrow married in December of 2003 and announced last March they were “consciously uncoupling.” Along with a daughter Apple, they have a son named Moses.
