Former OSU Employee Arrested, Sold Hundreds Of School-Owned Cellphones

CORVALLIS, OR — A former Oregon State University employee is in jail after she was caught selling school-owned cellphones.

According to police, 49-year-old Christina Marie Adams made almost $15,000 by selling 388 university-owned cellphones and mobile devices between 2008 and 2013.

The university first placed Adams on leave, then terminated her employment.

Adams then turned herself in after she learned of the outstanding warrants for her arrest. Adams was taken to the Benton County Jail on charges of Aggravated Theft and Official Misconduct.
