(NEW YORK) — Apple released its latest version of iOS 8 on Thursday in an attempt to remedy issues with a recent update that prompted complaints from users.
Consumers who downloaded iOS 8.0.1 on Wednesday reportedly experienced bugs in the software that included sluggish performance and slow download speeds.
“We apologize for inconveniencing the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users who were impacted by the bug in iOS 8.0.1,” Apple reps said in a statement.
The company claimed 40,000 devices were affected by Wednesday’s release.
