Free Child Development Screenings Come To La Pine

Healthy Beginnings child screenings are free for all families, regardless of health insurance status.

LA PINE, Ore. — On Friday, October 3rd Healthy Beginnings will bring its 12 Point Kid Inspections to La Pine.

At these free screening clinics, each child receives nearly $3,000 worth of services at no cost to the family. Parents and children from birth to five years old with meet one-on-one with as many as 12 health and development professionals.

Screenings will take place at the La Pine Community Health Center.

Families are welcome to attend whether or not they have health insurance. Any child in need of further services will be referred to community resources. 

The Healthy Beginnings program is unique to Central Oregon. It serves to assure parents that their children are developing appropriately and if needed, makes referrals for in-depth evaluation and further treatment. Information and community resources are provided free as well.
