Bend Seeks Vacation Rental Task Force Candidates

BEND, Ore. — A Bend City Council meeting drew a massive crowd last month, with dozens of citizens asking the council to do something about the local vacation rental situation.

Now, the City says it is recruiting a collaborative, solution-oriented Task Force to help shape decisions about vacation rentals in Bend.

The City recommends that stakeholder groups nominate individuals to represent their collective interests.

8 to 10 appointed citizens will work with representatives from the Bend Planning Commission, local neighborhood associations, the Bend Chamber of Commerce, Visit Bend, and BEDAB.

Applications are due Wednesday, November 5th.

For applications or questions, visit the website at www.bendoregon.gov/committees.

Questions about the process should be directed to Jon Skidmore, Assistant City Manager of Operations at 541-693-2175 or jskidmore@bendoregon.gov.
