Pile Burns Planned Across Central Oregon

DESCHUTES COUNTY, Ore. — As fall weather brings more moisture and cooler temperatures fuels specialists are starting to burn piles across Central Oregon.

For the next several weeks and months, specialists will burn units across the forestlands.

While smoke may linger in the area following burns, but no area closures are anticipated.

However, if smoke drifts on to roads, motorists should slow down, turn on headlights, and proceed with care.
