Prineville, Ore. – On Thursday, November 20, 2014, at approximately 6:50 p.m., deputies from the Crook County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of NE ONeil Hwy, near milepost 6, on a report of a single motor vehicle crash with possible injuries.
When deputies arrived, they located a 2000 Ford F350 off the north side of NE ONeil Hwy. It was determined that the Ford F350 was traveling Eastbound on NE ONeil Hwy, when the vehicle slid off the north side of the roadway at an angle, causing the vehicle to rollover after sinking into the snow. The vehicle made one full rotation before coming to rest on its roof, off of the side of the road, near milepost 6.
The driver of the Ford F350, Martin Hernandez-Soto, of Prineville, was not injured in the crash.
Martin was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The investigation is ongoing, though no citations have been issued at this time. Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash, and it is believed that the primary cause of the crash was poor roadway conditions.
