Linfield Football Team Plays For Parker

McMinnville, Ore. – With their fallen teammate Parker Moore watching from above, the Linfield Wildcats roll up 505 yards on Chapman to advance beyond the first round of the NCAA playoffs for the sixth straight season. Quarterback Sam Riddle passes for 279 yards and four touchdowns and Charlie Poppen has 10 catches for 158 yards and two TDs.

Linfield advances to play the winner of Saturday’s Mary Hardin-Baylor vs. Texas Lutheran game on Sunday, Nov. 29, at a site to be announced Sunday by the NCAA.

Moore’s No. 35 was omnipresent at Maxwell Field during the Wildcats’ convincing 55-24 first-round NCAA playoff victory over Chapman.

Parker Moore had been on the team and was stabbed to death by a stranger at a convenience store near the campus. A memorial service at the campus drew about 2000 people.
