Pets Saved In Prineville House Fire

Prineville, Ore. – Thursday, December 11, 2014 Crook County Fire and Rescue was dispatched at 11:26 am for a house fire on NE 1st street in Prineville.

Two engines, 1 medic and 8 firefighters responded to the scene. Upon arrival crews found the 2nd floor of the house involved in fire. They were able to contain the fire to the 2nd floor but it was a complete loss. There is significant water damage to the first floor.

Two dogs were rescued uninjured and 1 cat was rescued and resuscitated on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
