Salem, Ore. – Representative Mike McLane (R-Powell Butte) was selected by House Speaker Tina Kotek to serve on the following committees during the 78th Legislative Assembly:

· Rules Committee

· Joint Ways & Means Committee

· Joint Legislative Administration Committee

· Joint Legislative Counsel

“Crafting our state budget in a fiscally responsible manner that delivers efficient government services to Oregonians will require bipartisan work,” said Rep. McLane. “I will continue to work with the Governor, the House Speaker and the Senate President to develop a budget that benefits both urban and rural Oregon, increases economic development and grows our workforce, and produces better outcomes in education.”

In addition to his committee assignments, Rep. McLane will again serve as House Republican Leader during the 2015 legislative session, a position he was first elected to by his peers in 2012. He was elected to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2010 and will be sworn in for his third term as House District 55’s representative on January 12, 2015. House District 55 includes Crook County and portions of Deschutes, Jackson, Klamath and Lake Counties.
