Stephen Lovekin/Getty Images for BET(NEW YORK) — Gabrielle Union’s BET series, Being Mary Jane, doesn’t return until Feb. 3, which gives the star time to promote her first behind-the-scenes effort, the new Lifetime show With This Ring.
With This Ring stars Regina King and centers on three friends who vow to get married within 12 months. It premieres Jan. 24.
Union serves as one of the show’s executive producers and tells E! News it feels nice to hold the reins.
“It feels good to provide great content for my friends and employ my friends,” she admits. “It’s just great to put talented people to work. I finally feel like a boss b.”
Meanwhile, Union says all is well on the marriage front. She tied the knot with NBA superstar Dwyane Wade last August. “We’re very protective of each other and it’s a good time,” she gushed. “It’s a good time at the Wade household.”
The 42-year-old actress also used her appearance on E! News to talk about her youthful appearance, which she credits to not abusing her body, drinking “a gallon of water a day” and using Neutrogena. Union is a paid spokesperson for Neutrogena.
