Named Released On Bend Pedestrian Crash

Bend, Ore. – Today Bend Police released more details about a pedestrian crash on Saturday evening that critically injured a Bend woman. As of this morning she was still in “critical” condition at St. Charles in Bend.

Pedestrian: Pamela Kay James
49 years of age
Bend Resident

Driver: Michael Anthony Jones
45 years of age
Bend Resident

Vehicle: 1999 silver Nissan Pathfinder

The Nissan Pathfinder was driven eastbound on Revere near Lytle at the time of the collision with the pedestrian, Pamela James. James remains in critical condition at St. Charles Medical Center. The investigation is ongoing.

Narrative:

On Saturday, Jan 31, 2015, at 6:29 pm, Officers from the Bend Police Department responded to an injury motor vehicle crash, near NE Revere and NE Lytle. This area of the roadway does not have lighting, and does not have a crosswalk.

A preliminary investigation determined a pedestrian, wearing dark clothing, attempted to cross NE Revere and was struck by an eastbound vehicle, in the middle lane of travel for east bound traffic. The pedestrian was transported to St. Charles Medical Center, and is currently in critical condition.
