PORTLAND COMPANY ACCUSED OF OVERCHARGING FOR UNDELIVERED SERVICES
Complaints Allege Delivery, Billing, Customer Service Issues

Lake Oswego, Ore. — Feb. 27, 2015 — A Portland company has received an F rating for failing to respond to any of the complaints filed against it with Better Business Bureau serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington.

Skybox Media Group LLC, an online advertising agency, has received 11 complaints since August 2014. Despite BBB’s more than 20 letters and 4 phone calls to the company on behalf of the complainants, Skybox has not responded or resolved the issues.

Consumers report to BBB that they agree to an advertising contract with Skybox, but the finished product is never delivered. Consumers also allege that although they authorized one payment to the company for its services, Skybox charges them multiple times. The average amount of overcharges is more than $1,000 per complainant.

“Agreed to an advertising contract for $375 in October of 2013,” one consumer told BBB. “Since then they have continued to charge my credit card every few months to a total now of over $2,600.”

According to consumers, the company is not responsive to their phone calls, either.

“I have called Skybox Media over a hundred times,” another consumer wrote to BBB. “Their phone always goes to voicemail. They will not return my call.”

Consumers from across the country—including ones in California, Montana and Utah—have filed complaints against Skybox to BBB.

According to Oregon Secretary of State and information in BBB files, Skybox’s corporate member Larry Allen is connected to two other companies in Oregon: Caddyshack Media LLC and Welcome Home Guide LLC. At this time, no complaints have been filed against these companies.
