Final Suspect In Prineville Area Car Theft Case Arrested

UPDATE: Redmond Police have arrested the final suspect in a Prineville area car theft case. Redmond Police say 25 year old Michael Shrauger was first arrested for trespassing yesterday and then police found drugs on him and then he gave a false name and when the jail ran his fingerprints they realized he was Michael Shrauger. He was charged with additional crimes of ID theft, and lying to a police officer.

Prineville, Ore. – On February 20, 2015 at approximately 6:00 a.m. hours deputies were dispatched to the area of Barnes Butte Road just north of Prineville. It was reported that a male and female at that location had just had their vehicle stolen by two men who were armed with a handgun.

The victims were able to identify the suspects as Dominic Isherwood and Michael Shrauger, both known in the Prineville area. The suspects reportedly threatened the victims with the firearm and ordered them out of their vehicle. The victims complied with their order and the suspects then fled with the victim’s vehicle.

During this contact Deputies arrested Graham Evans, age 26, on a Marion County warrant for Parole Violation for Dangerous Drugs. He was lodge in the Crook County Jail on the No Bail Warrant.

At approximately 11:00 a.m. an Oregon State Police Trooper located the victim’s vehicle parked at an apartment in Grasshopper Village, 850 NW 10th Street, in Prineville. This is an area that Isherwood had been known to frequent in the past. The resident of the apartment was contacted and asked to leave the apartment until it could be secured as there was information that one or both of the suspects were possibly in the apartment. Due that it had been reported the suspects had been armed with a firearm, Central Oregon Emergency Response Team (CERT) was requested. A perimeter was set around the apartment complex and CERT then sent a team in to try and locate the suspects.

After clearing the apartment and nearby addition residence, neither suspects were located; however items of evidence were located inside the apartment.

At the time of this release, both Isherwood and Shrauger are still at large. Anyone with information are asked to contact the Crook County Sheriff’s Office or your local law enforcement. Do not attempt make contact with either of these suspect.
