Medford, Ore. – Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing to investigate this afternoon’s fatal motorcycle crash on Highway 140 at milepost 27 east of Medford.

Troopers at the scene say that yesterday at approximately 12:51 p.m., a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling eastbound on highway 140 when the driver, identified as 57 year old TAMARA A. ALTER of Medford, failed to negotiate a left hand curve and struck the guardrail.

She was ejected from the motorcycle and thrown down a steep, rocky embankment. Alter was wearing a helmet and neither excessive speed nor impairment are believed to have been a factor in the crash.
