(SAN FRANCISCO) — Giants starting pitcher Chris Heston (2-1) allowed one earned run over 7 2-3 innings of work as San Francisco (4-9) took care of the Arizona Diamondbacks (6-6) on Saturday night, 4-1.
Heston gave up five hits and one walk while striking out six. Closer Santiago Casilla picked up his fourth save of the year, pitching a scoreless ninth inning.
The Giants jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI single from Second Baseman Joe Panik. Shortstop Brandon Crawford blasted a two-run home run in the fourth to give San Francisco a 4-1 lead.
Diamondback starter Rubby De La Rosa (2-1) allowed three-earned runs on nine hits over 6 2-3 innings. He struck out seven and walked two.
