Bend Police Say 17 Male Driver Crashed Through Yards

Bend, Ore. – On 04/25/15 at 1:15 AM, Officers with the Bend Police Department responded to 460 SE Woodland Blvd for a reported motor vehicle crash. When the officers arrived, they found a burgundy Chevrolet Impala crashed in the front yard of the Woodland residence.

As the officers exited their patrol vehicles, the lone occupant of the Impala drove away. The driver led officers on a vehicle pursuit through the surrounding neighborhood. During the pursuit, the driver crashed into another yard, located at 160 SE 4th Street. The driver continued to attempt to elude officers after the second crash.

Officers lost sight of the vehicle briefly, but they located the vehicle and driver a short time later at 160 SE 3rd Street. The driver was taken into custody and identified as a 17 year old Bend resident. The driver was released with a citation for the following charges:

Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants
Attempt to Elude
Reckless Driving
Hit and Run for damages at both the SE 4th Street and SE Woodland addresses
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants
Attempt to Elude
Reckless Driving
Hit and Run for damages at both the SE 4th Street and SE Woodland addresses

Police are not releasing the name of the suspect.
