(NEW YORK) — The Muppets are coming to ABC’s primetime lineup this fall.
Kermit and the gang will star in a new series, The Muppets, that will air Tuesday nights. The documentary-style comedy will explore the Muppets’ personal lives.
The Muppets is one of five new fall shows that ABC announced on Tuesday. The others: the drama Quantico, about a group of recruits at the FBI Quantico Base, one of whom is suspected of masterminding an attack on New York City; the comedy Dr. Ken, starring Ken Jeong as a physician and family man; the drama Oil, featuring Don Johnson and Chace Crawford and focusing on a young couple taking part in an oil boom who are tested by a ruthless tycoon; and the biblical drama Of Kings and Prophets.
The most notable midseason entries planned by ABC for the 2015-2016 season are The Catch, a drama from Shonda Rhimes’ production company about a fraud investigator who’s about to become the victim of fraud herself at the hands of her fiancé, and a TV version of the movie Uncle Buck starring Mike Epps.
ABC cancelled Forever, Resurrection and Cristela.
