Bend, Ore. -Last Thursday, detectives with the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team and workers from the United States Postal Inspection Service arrested Daniel Parkhurst as he left Postal Connections in Bend. After the arrest of 48 year old Daniel Parkhurst of Bend, detectives executed a narcotics related search warrant at 61175 Princeton Loop in Bend.

The arrest of Parkhurst and subsequent search warrant execution was the result of an investigation into his illegal activities in the trafficking of large amounts of controlled substances throughout the Central Oregon region.

The investigation by CODE revealed that Parkhurst would purchase large quantities of oxycodone and anabolic steroids from overseas sources. Police say once the items were received, Parkhurst would distribute them for profit within the Central Oregon region as well as retain certain amounts for personal usage. Parkhurst would then deposit a portion of the proceeds from the unlawful activity into a financial institution, which would later be withdrawn by co-conspirators, enabling him to promote and facilitate his on-going unlawful activity.

Detectives seized a total of 2,812 oxycodone pills, which carry a street value of approximately $100,000. Additional anabolic steroids, human growth hormones and prescription drugs were seized, which carry a street value of approximately $50,000.

Parkhurst was lodged at the Deschutes County Correctional Facility on the below listed charges.
