(LOS ANGELES) — Steve Harvey is bringing Family Feud to ABC primetime with a celebrity version of his popular game show.
Celebrity Family Feud, premiering Sunday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time, will feature stars like Dr. Phil McGraw, Anthony Anderson, and Penny and Garry Marshall.
Harvey is looking forward to seeing how the celebs will fare on the show. He tells ABC Radio, “I’ve met many of the stars that are going to come on this show. So to watch them fail is going to be extra comedy for me.”
He’s especially excited to welcome Dr. Phil: “[W]e’re such really good friends. I mean, Dr. Phil has taught me so much about this business.”
“And I need him to get an ‘X,'” Harvey adds. “And he will get an ‘X.'”
We won’t see Harvey’s own family on Family Feud anytime soon because, as he explains, “[M]y family can’t talk without cussing.”
After Celebrity Family Feud, ABC debuts its robot-themed competition, BattleBots.
