Maryland Police Seek to Identify Baby Found Abandoned on Side of Road

Anyone with information about this baby found abandoned in Maryland is asked to call the Anne Arundel County Police Department. (Anne Arundel County Police Department)(ANNE ARUNDEL, Md.) — Authorities in Anne Arundel, Maryland are looking for the parents of an unidentified baby found abandoned on the side of a road, police said on Sunday.

Just before midnight Saturday, officers responded to a report of an abandoned child on the side of a road in Pasadena, Maryland, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said on its Facebook page Sunday morning.

Officers found a baby girl in a car seat carrier.

“Scuff marks on the carrier and other debris indicate that the carrier may have fell off of a moving vehicle,” the police wrote in the post.

Police said the baby is 2 or 3 months old.

The child was taken to a hospital to be treated for dehydration, and after her condition improves she will be released to the Department of Child Protective Services, police said.
