Noel Vasquez/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — He’s been with the Dodgers since Brooklyn, and he’s going to spend yet another year with them.

Los Angeles Dodgers play-by-play announcer Vin Scully announced Friday he will return for the 2016 season, marking his 67th year as the voice of the Dodgers.

The 87-year-old’s decision was revealed on the video board at Dodger Stadium after the second inning of a game against the Chicago Cubs on Friday night. The video involved cue cards and Jimmy Kimmel with Scully saying nothing.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Scully has cut back on his schedule the past few years, and doesn’t travel for regular season games outside of California.

The broadcaster turns 88 in November and his work with the Dodgers marks the longest time a broadcaster has worked with a single team in professional sports history.
