Griffin suffered the injury in the team’s August 20 preseason game against the Detroit Lions. While he practiced all week, the team said on Twitter Friday that “further review by neuropsychologists” determined he should be kept out of competition and re-tested in one to two weeks.

A two-week timeframe would leave open the possibility of a quarterback change before the start of the regular season. Backup Kirk Cousins is likely to start for the Redskins on Saturday night against the Baltimore Ravens.
