(BOWMANVILLE, Ontario) — NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Jennifer Jo Cobb received a fine Tuesday, all because of a cell phone.
She was fined a total of $7,500 for “having a non-engine electronic component in the truck” at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park over the weekend.
The component in question: a cell phone. Cobb was spotted taking it out of her truck after she was involved in a crash during practice.
NASCAR banned cell phones from cars in 2012.
Cobb’s fine includes a $2,500 penalty for an infraction occurring while on probation.
She finished 20th in Saturday’s Chevrolet Silverado 250.
