Prineville Man Charged With Murder, Victim From Christmas Valley

Prineville, Ore. – The Crook County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested a Prineville man in the fatal shooting of a Christmas Valley man.

25 year old Michael Cory Donovan is in the Crook County Jail charged with murder, Attempted Murder, and the Unlawful Use of a Weapon. No bail has been set.

The victim is 29 year old James Ross Scott of Christmas Valley.

“The investigation is continuing at this hour as this is very large area with multiple scenes to investigate. We do appreciate the media and the public cooperation with making it easier on detectives to get this investigation done in a timely manner.” – Undersheriff John Gautney

Deputies were called to SE Davis Loop just before 5 a.m. today and found a car and Scott dead from a gunshot wound.
