Redmond, Ore. – In the continued effort to build a safe network to encourage biking and walking in Redmond, the City of Redmond Bicycle and the Redmond Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) will be conducting the 2nd annual bicycle and pedestrian counts and is seeking volunteers to help with the count!
Last year, with the first ever counts, a baseline of bicycle and pedestrian users in the community was established. The purpose of this year’s counts and future counts is to measure the progress of community marketing efforts and the impact of physical improvements to the bicycle and pedestrian network, as well as helping to build support for future improvements.
“We need volunteers for two hour shifts to sit at designated locations and count users on Thursday, September 17th from 3:30 pm-5:30 pm and/or Saturday, September 19th from noon to 2:00 p.m. Training and safety gear will be provided. Volunteers will be treated to a free pizza party!”
