Bend, Ore.- Central Oregon nonprofit Saving Grace was named the 4th best medium sized nonprofit to work for in Oregon. Saving Grace’s Executive Director Janet Huerta, and 9 other staff members attended the awards dinner in Portland last week hosted by Oregon Business Magazine.

This is the 2nd year in a row Saving Grace has made the top 5 for medium sized nonprofits and the seventh year in a row Saving Grace has been included in the 100 Best Nonprofits to Work For in Oregon.

More than 180 nonprofits and approximately 5,500 employees took part this year in the seventh annual 100 Best Nonprofits to Work For in Oregon survey.

Results of the survey show employees of Saving Grace have lots of job satisfaction, pride and belief in the mission, and they rate highly Saving Grace’s progress in achieving its purpose.

“Employees are Saving Grace’s greatest asset. It would be impossible to provide supervised visitation (at Mary’s Place) or therapy (at the Counseling Center) or safety planning for a survivor in La Pine for the thousands of people we serve every year without our amazing staff. I think the most important thing I can do with my life is to make sure that Saving Grace employees are happy at work. Staff satisfaction means they are having respectful, healthy relationships with each other and role modeling that is what the world needs more of,” says Huerta.

The 100 Best Nonprofits to Work For are honored in the October issue of Oregon Business, distributed statewide to 20,000 subscribers.
