Bend, Ore. – Anthony’s at the Old Mill District hosted its eleventh annual “Feast at the Old Mill,” a benefit for Central Oregon Community College’s Cascade Culinary Institute held Oct. 3rd.
The event has raised $18,000 this year and more than $220,000 in the last 11 years to benefit the COCC culinary program and its students.
“We were once again humbled by the generosity of the Central Oregon community and the nearly two hundred people who came out to support the world-renown Cascade Culinary Institute at COCC,” stated Zak Boone, executive director of the COCC Foundation.
Anthony’s at the Old Mill District, which specializes in fresh Northwest seafood, Northwest wines and local microbrews, closes this one day every year in order to accommodate this special event. The executive specifically created the menu chefs just for this event.
Restaurant staff volunteered their time, and this year students in the college’s culinary program assisted them. Anthony’s Restaurants donated all food, labor, venue and other costs. Executive chefs and executive team members were brought in from corporate headquarters to help coordinate the unique evening.
