Person Of Interest Identified In OSP Rest Area Death Investigation

Portland, Ore. – Oregon State Police say a person of interest has been identified and is being interviewed by detectives.

Last night at 8:26 p.m., OSP Troopers responded to the Interstate 5 south bound Baldock Rest Area to conduct a welfare check of man found injured.

Troopers and medical personnel arrived and located the male victim suffering from traumatic injuries. Medics were unable to save the man and he died at the scene.

OSP Major Crimes Detectives are working in conjunction with the Clackamas County District Attorney’s’ Office and the Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Baldock Rest Area continues to remain closed and additional information will be released pending next of kin notification.
