Chimps Inc. Gearing Up For Civil War

Bend, Ore. – Attention Duck and Beaver fans!  It’s time to start making your plans for the 2015 Civil War football game.  Chimps Inc. is again hosting the Civil War game on Friday, November 27th. The game will be featured on three jumbo flat screens in the heated indoor arena near the Chimps Inc. sanctuary off Gerking Market Rd. in Tumalo.

The 15th Annual Civil War Football Fundraiser for Chimps Inc. will also feature a silent auction with kick off  scheduled for 12:30 PM.  Doors open one hour before kick off. 100% of the proceeds raised from this event will be used to support the ongoing work of Chimps Inc.

Based in Bend, Chimps Inc. was founded in 1995 as a 501(c)3 non-profit sanctuary and is specifically designed to provide lifetime care to seven captive chimpanzees and two lynx.  The sanctuary is dedicated to overcoming exploitation and cruelty that their residents, and other captive wild animals, face through advocacy and education.  Chimps Inc. is a founding member of the North American Primate Sanctuary Alliance (NAPSA), a governing body for chimpanzee sanctuaries throughout the United States and Canada.  To protect the inhabitants and give them a safe natural environment, the sanctuary is only open to the public a few times each year for current donors and friends.

Annual Rhubarb Festival

This event started in La Pine at L & S Gardens. Upon the retirement of Linda she graciously passed the event on to the La Pine Senior Activity Center.  Each year the community, gathers with everything Rhubarb.
