Bend Tree Lighting Set For Saturday Night

Bend, Ore. – The Downtown Bend Business Association announces the Community Tree Lighting, Saturday, November 28th at 6:00 p.m. Join us for this fun, free family event!

The Bend High School Dynamics Choir will sing as well as Cascade Chorale. The evening concludes with Santa arriving to lead the countdown to light the Community Tree. Don’t be late – Santa lights the tree promptly at 6:30. There will be free hot chocolate while supplies last!

2015 marks the 3rd year for the new tree at the new location at Drake Park near the South Mirror Pond Parking Lot. New for 2015 is a wagon to serve as our stage thanks for Ryan at Cowboy Carriage. The wagon will allow attendees a better view to see singers and most importantly, see Santa light the tree!

The Downtown Bend Community Tree is made possible with a DBBA donation to the Tree of Humanity and notable volunteers Steve Reber and Darren Hill. The tree looks amazing ever year thanks to the countless hours of these volunteers.

The DBBA is a private nonprofit organization representing approximately 350 businesses and 85 property owners working to keep Downtown Bend vibrant. The organization is responsible for downtown beautification, cleaning and maintenance, marketing, events, and keeping the business environment healthy. More information is available at DowntownBend.org.
