Universal Pictures(LOS ANGELES) — The father of late Fast & Furious star Paul Walker has filed a wrongful death suit against Porsche, two years after Walker’s deadly car crash, Deadline reports.
In the suit filed in L.A. Superior Court last week, Paul William Walker III claims the Porsche Carrera GT his son was riding in when he died in 2013 was lacking essential safety features, such as a stability control system, breakaway fuel line and side-door reinforcements. He’s seeking unspecified damages.
In late September, the actor’s daughter, Meadow Rain Walker, also sued Porsche, referencing safety issues with the vehicle. Another similar lawsuit was filed Wednesday by Kristine Rodas, the widow of the driver of the Porsche, Roger Rodas.
Monday marks the second anniversary of Paul Walker’s death. Investigators had determined the cause of the crash was “unsafe speed for the roadway conditions.”
