(SEATTLE) — Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham is out for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury on Sunday, according to the team’s head coach.
“We’ve loved Jimmy Graham coming to our team and we’re very grateful that he’s been a part of it and we’re going to miss the heck out of him the rest of the season,” coach Pete Carroll said Sunday after Seattle’s 39-30 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Carroll said Graham hurt the patellar tendon in his right knee and will need surgery.
The tight end had to come out of the game in the fourth quarter after going up for a pass from Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson in the end zone. Graham came down awkwardly and had to be carted off the field.
