Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images(SACRAMENTO) — With a subpar record more than halfway through the season, the Sacramento Kings feel they need a coaching change — so they’re planning to fire head coach George Karl in the next few days, league sources told ESPN.

The Kings made the decision internally that Karl will be fired after Sacramento’s last game before the All-Star Break Wednesday in Philadelphia, the sources said.

Final details are still being worked out, but NBA sources said former Kings forward Corliss Williamson remains the favorite to become the interim coach.

So far this season, the Kings are 21-31, putting them in 10th place in the Western Conference.
