Equestrian Hunter-Jumper Event Takes Place This Week In Bend

Bend, Ore. – The annual Rose City Opener, A U.S. Equestrian Federation “A” rated hunter/jumper horse show featuring thousands of dollars in prize money, takes place this week in Central Oregon.

The five-day show, presented by Bend-based Allied Horse Shows, is presented Wednesday through Sunday at Juniper View Ranch, north of Tumalo.

Competition begins about 9am each day.

Featured events are the $5,000 Voltaire Design U.S. Hunter Jumper Association Hunter Derby on Friday, and the $10,000 Shevlin Sand and Gravel Jumper Derby on Saturday.

Spectators are welcome-admission is free.
