Alan Markfield; Marvel Studios/Twentieth Century Fox(NEW YORK) — It’s not easy stepping into Halle Berry’s shoes, but X-Men: Apocalypse actress Alexandra Shipp is enjoying everything that comes with the territory of portraying a new version of the supernatural mutant Storm.
Everything — including advances from female admirers.
On Thursday’s episode of The Wendy Williams Show, the Phoenix native revealed that when she shaved her head for the Mohawk her character sports, she got more attention from female fans — and liked it.
“I’ve been getting hit on by the ladies a little more lately,” she confessed. “I like it.”
The Emmy Award-nominated hostess probed further and asked her did she ever kiss a girl.
And in true Katy Perry form, the 24-year-old actress quipped: “I’ve kissed a girl and I like it.”
A former soap opera actress, Shipp broke through portraying the lead role in the Lifetime biopic of late R&B singer Aaliyah. Last year, she played Ice Cube’s wife, Kim, in the blockbuster hit movie Straight Outta Compton.
