ABC News(NEW YORK) — Hillary Clinton said during a campaign rally in North Carolina Wednesday that she has “gotten under [Donald Trump’s] skin” — based on the real estate mogul’s reaction to her economic speech, such as his barrage of tweets.

“He’s going after me personally because he has no answers on the substance. In fact, he doubled down on being the king of debt, so all he can do is try to distract us,” she told supporters in Raleigh.

Clinton seemed joyful when talking about how much Trump “hates it when anyone points out how hollow his sales pitch really is” and even had an answer to the billionaire businessman’s famous “You’re fired” line from The Apprentice.

“I do have a jobs program, and as president, I’m going to make sure that you hear you’re hired,” she said.

Clinton said the country can’t afford to let “Trump bankrupt America the way he bankrupted his casinos.”

“I tell you how I will pay for it,” she said. “Now, Donald Trump and I disagree on a lot of things, and one of them is simple math.”

During the speech Clinton outlined what her economic vision. The day before in Ohio, she delivered an anti-Trump speech in which she said he would “throw us back into recession.” Her aides said the back-to-back speeches were planned as a one-two punch against the presumptive Republican nominee.

Today she essentially doubled down on policy proposals she discussed throughout the campaign. She called for raising incomes, making debt-free college available to all Americans, profit-sharing in businesses and Wall Street reform.

“It’s not easy to change Washington or how corporations behave. It takes more than stern words or a flashy slogan. It takes a plan, and it takes experience and the ability to work with both parties to get results,” said Clinton.

She kicked off the speech with a subtle jab at Trump, who questioned her Christianity at a private meeting with religious leaders Tuesday in New York.

“As we Methodists like to say,” Clinton remarked to some laughter from the crowd, “Do all the good you can to all the people you can and all the ways you can. And that is absolutely true for our children.”

The former secretary of state defended the work of her family’s foundation, which Trump attacked as receiving money from countries that oppress people’s rights.

“The Clinton Foundation helps poor people around the world get access to lifesaving AIDS medicine,” she said. “Donald Trump uses poor people around the world to produce his line of suits and ties.”
