Bend, Ore. – The city of Bend will be awarding $1.3 million in grants to affordable housing projects.
After reviewing submitted applications, the city’s affordable housing advisory committee selected seven projects to recommend to the City Council for funding.
The Bend City Council is set to meet July 20 to make a final determination on which organizations to receive money.
The largest proposed grant, $400,000 to Building Partners for Affordable Housing, would be used to acquire a sub division lot for renters and buyers earning between 30 and 100 percent of the area’s median income.
