Redmond, Ore. – Its the site of 18 crashes over five years. The intersection of SW Highland Avenue (state Highway 126) and 35th Street, where state Highway 126 hits town has been problematic.
According to city planning officials, the plan to build a left turn lane at the intersection for westbound travelers on Highland Avenue is being designed and will soon be reviewed by the Oregon Department of Transportation.
Officials said construction on the new turning lane could begin before the end of the year.
