Scott Clarke / ESPN(WIMBLEDON) — Sam Querrey walked off the tennis court on top Saturday in Wimbledon, beating world champion Novak Djokovic 7-6 (6), 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (5), ESPN reports.

It was a disjointed match, broken up by rain delays.

However, the majority can agree that this was one of the greatest upsets in Grand Slam history, with Querrey’s victory bringing Djokovic’s streak of 30 Grand Slam match-victories to an abrupt end.

“It’s incredible, especially to do it here at Wimbledon,” said Querrey minutes after the victory. “I’m so ecstatic and happy.”

According to ESPN, Querrey saved an incredible 14 of 17 breakpoints against the world’s best return man. Querrey also hit 31 aces and two double faults, with 39 percent of his serves unreturned.

“He played a terrific match,” Djokovic said afterward. “He served very well, as he usually he does. That part of his game was brutal today [Saturday]. He made a lot of free points. He just overpowered me.”

ESPN reports Querrey is now 1-8 against the number one ranked player, and 1-9 against top 10 players at Grand Slams.

Querrey will next play number 51-ranked Nicolas Mahut in the fourth round, according to ESPN.
