CODE- Another Meth Bust In Central Oregon

Central Oregon, – An investigation by the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team has led to two arrests this week of Washington state residents.

Detectives with CODE and the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office contacted 42 year-old Thomas Abernathy, and 35 year-old Katie Dietrich, both of Battle Ground, Washington, in Government Camp.

Investigators had been looking into Abernathy’s travels between his hometown and Central Oregon for some time, CODE said in a news release, and believed he was on his way to Central Oregon to deliver methamphetamine for distribution.

A search of the vehicle Abernathy and Dietrich were traveling in located approximately 2.1 pounds of methamphetamine.

Abernathy and Dietrich were arrested and jailed on suspicion of possession, manufacturing and distribution of methamphetamine.
