Two Motorcyclists Hurt After Crashing into Jeep

Bend, Ore – A Bend driver was cited after pulling out in front of two motorcyclists on Skyliners Road causing them to crash into her Jeep. According to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Sunday about 10:14 am. Lawrence Nilson, 45, of La Center, Washington and Stephen Wobber, 48 of Camas, Washington were traveling with a tour group west on Skyliners Road, near mile post 8.5. A white Jeep Cherokee driven by Victoria Deeks, 58, of Bend pulled out from a private driveway in front of them causing both KTM motorcycles to crash into the Jeep.

Both Wobber and Nilson were transported to St Charles Medical Center in Bend, by ground Ambulance, with non-life threatening injuries. Deeks was issued a citation for Fail to Yield Before Entering a Roadway and Nilson was issued a citation for Driving with a Suspended License. Both Wobber and Nilson attributed their lack of severe injury due to the protective riding gear they were wearing at the time of the crash.
