Missing Person : Elderly Woman From Sisters

Sisters, Ore. -Late Saturday evening, 84 year-old Lena R. Shieler left her adult foster care facility in Sisters. Shieler took one of her caregiver’s vehicles from the driveway and left for an unknown destination.

The vehicle is described as a red Subaru Legacy four-door with Oregon license plate CL15039.

Shieler is described as 5-feet and 180 pounds. She is believed to be wearing a turquoise shirt, turquoise floral pants, grey sweatshirt and brown shoes. Shieler also wears eyeglasses.

She has significant medical issues including dementia and requires regular medical monitoring.

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Shieler. If anyone has seen her or the vehicle she is driving, they are asked to immediately call non-emergency police dispatch at 541-693-6911 or 9-1-1.

Annual Rhubarb Festival

This event started in La Pine at L & S Gardens. Upon the retirement of Linda she graciously passed the event on to the La Pine Senior Activity Center.  Each year the community, gathers with everything Rhubarb.
