OSU-Cascades Encouraging Other Modes Of Transportation To Help Ease Congestion

Bend, Ore. – Just a week into the school year, OSU-Cascades is pushing students, faculty and staff to alternative forms of parking and transportation.

Cars parked along SW Chandler Avenue and neighboring streets had fliers slipped under their windshields wipers, alerting drivers to other options than driving.

The new 10-acre campus along SW Century Drive was designed to serve around 1,900 students -that includes 300 parking spaces.

Students who elect to live on campus in university housing are prohibited from keeping a car on campus, and all students are being asked to use public transit or alternative means of transportation.
