Bend’s Best Bites! This Week – Twist Cocktail Catering Co. & Olive Bartending Service

Bend, Ore. – Mixology is the term used to describe the art and skill of mixing and preparing cocktails.

A mixologist invents and creates wonderful libations, and is just as much an art as cooking is. Who doesn’t love an intoxicating concoction of flavors that take our taste buds on a delicious journey?

KBNW’s Abby Taylor expanded this weeks edition of “Bend’s Best Bites” to include “Sips”, where she paid a visit to Stephanie Anderson Stroup, the owner of Twist Cocktail Catering Co. & Olive Bartending Service.

Their talented mixologist, Carrie Irby – a self proclaimed “drinker with a bartending problem”, took a mid-day break to talk shop, including sampling some of their amazing fall-themed libations.

While Abby and the ladies munched on delicious home-made hummus and veggies, four amazing cocktails were served, and they chatted up their newest endeavor, “Decanter” – a newly refurbished horse trailer that now has a fabulous life as a mobile party maker, and it’s Bend’s only portable full cocktail bar!

The ladies of Twist and Olive also divulged their latest recipe for their creamiest, decadent caramel chai cocktail, “Autumn In A Glass”. It’s simply a divine desert in a cup – with a hint of alcohol…perfect for your upcoming holiday parties or just because!

Autumn In A Cup:

1oz. Cascade Alchemy Chai Vodka
1oz. Vodka
.5oz vanilla honey
.75 Carmel Liqueur or Carmel Syrup
1.5 oz half and half
Top with whipped cream and caramel syrup

As always, please drink responsibly!
