Bend, Ore. – Bend police arrested 43-year-old Michael Stout from Prineville at his home Tuesday on 75 luring and sex abuse counts.
Stout is accused of arranging a sexual encounter online with a 15-year-old juvenile at a Bend hotel last month, according to police.
Police said that on Feb. 14, Stout, arranged the meeting with the teen in January at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel on Franklin Avenue in downtown Bend.
An investigation determined that Stout met the teen on Tumblr, a social networking site. After the encounter, according to police, Stout made several other attempts to contact the juvenile through social networking sites.
Bend detectives located and arrested Stout Tuesday at his home on Southwest Second Street in Prineville, where a search warrant was served at his home where pieces of evidence were seized.
Stout was taken to Bend and lodged at the Deschutes County Jail.
