Suspect Inside for Half Hour – Nothing Taken

Bend, Ore. – Bend Police is asking the public for help identifying a burglary suspect who broke into the McDonald’s on Northeast Highway 20 early Thursday morning, and appeared to tamper with a cash register and alarm speaker panel inside the restaurant.

At about 2:04 a.m. Thursday, Bend Police officers responded to an alarm at the east side McDonald’s. The officers found an open door to the business. When the officers entered the restaurant, the alarm was still sounding and multiple items were out of place, according to Bend Police.

Surveillance footage shows a man with black hair and a goatee entering the business after closing and tampering with several items, including the cash register and alarm speaker panel.

The man in the surveillance video appears intoxicated and may have been drinking in the area that night, according to police. He faces charges of second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Bend Police
